If our schedules align and we are available, the next step is to tell us everything about your project so we can send you a free custom quote/proposal. Getting expectations on paper is so important. We will send you a contract to look over and customize if needed. Once it is approved and signed by both parties, we are golden.
In order to reserve a booking, we require a 50% deposit and a signed agreement. This ensures we are mutually committed to working together. Project commencement begins when the deposit clears. When we deliver your beautifully crafted video, and your face smiles brightly, the remaining 50% will be due.
We accept (and prefer) personal and business checks. We also accept Paypal and most major credit cards with a 3% up-charge to cover the third-party processing fees. Checks are way cooler.
If you need flexibility in your payment terms, we are more than happy to negotiate a plan that works for you. Being flexible is super healthy.
Your project is of the utmost importance to us, and we want things to go as smoothly as possible. We accomplish this through an organized schedule. We will sit down with you (or correspond via the telephone/ email) to map out a working timeline that works best for both parties. This makes expectations concrete, and ensures great success.
Now the real work begins! For most projects, we need to make a little time translate the objective of the video into a conceptual framework that implements the big idea. We call this process pre-visualization. This really asked the questions: "what are we going to put in front of the camera? What will the Voiceover say, or do we even need on? Should we create a stop-motion animation? Etc." We take the answers to these questions and then find talent, scout locations, create story-boards, acquire the right crew and gear, build props, find costumes, develop artistic direction and basically have a lot of conversations with you, our client, to ensure we are on the same page.
When our scheduled shooting day arrives, we like to show up early to meet people, discuss locations, angles and the plan for the day. We take into account the movement of the sun, background noise, and other variables so we can adapt our settings and equipment for the best possible results.
We have a lot of equipment, which can take a while to set up, so we take this into account in our shooting schedule, especially if we are moving from location to location.
Our editors are fast and efficient, and produce great results. We usually cut and edit the video files to the soundtrack (if there is one). Projects will usually run through multiple editing programs before they are completed: Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Plural Eyes, Etc.
Projects usually go through a series of three revisions: rough cut, revised cut and final cut. We send each cut to you, our client, for feedback, and make the requested revisions. This process is repeated until we arrive at the final cut, which usually generate big smiles, bliss and possibly eyes that well up.
It is our priority to deliver your video in a timely manner. We allow ourselves up to six weeks (some jobs take years though...) to deliver the goods for general projects, but oftentimes we can get it to you much sooner, depending upon the current workload. If you are in a time crunch, we can rush your project to the front of the line for a 20% rush charge.
